Description: Sanford Health is at present recruited Certified Nursing Assistant (PRN) - Sanford Sheldon Hospital right now, this vacancy will be placed in Iowa. Nursing Assistants work under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with nursing care to patients as directed by the nu! rse. Nursing Assistant functions include: personal hygiene, comfort and safety measures, assisting with activity, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The Nursing Assistant assists with maintaining a clean and safe environment for the patient. The Nursing Assistant has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communications skills are necessary. The Nursing Assistant has the knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients appropriate to their assigned area.

This position is PRN (unscheduled part-time) working various shifts. (Will include working every other weekend and holidays).

Required Skills

Certification from approved CNA course. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience ! with clerical or nursing assistant is desirable but not essent! ial.

Current CNA certification and maintain continuing education as required by Iowa Board requirements. CPR and mandatory abuse certification also required also.
