For complete informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill our open Compliance Analyst position. The Compliance Analyst will assist Life Care Services business functions, LCS executives, and senior livi! ng communities in complying with Federal, State, and local laws. Plus, regulations impacting the senior living community.
Required Skills
Juris doctorate degree, or bachelor’s degree and certificate of completion from a paralegal program, is preferred, but relevant experience may be substituted for education. In the absence of a juris doctorate degree, paralegal experience with a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred.
Ability to draft and review documents for consistency in all of the following areas: legal and regulatory compliance; relevant business decisions and fact circumstances; use of correct grammar, punctuation and terminology; document formatting; and overall readability.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with Clients, regulatory agency personnel, banking institutions, and legal counsel.
Ability to understand, interpret and apply Federal, State, and local laws and regulations p! ertaining to the senior housing industry, including but not li! mited to the following areas: continuing care, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitative or nursing facility, home health, landlord/tenant, Medicare/Medicaid, advance directives, OIG Corporate Compliance, and HIPAA.
Required Experience
Has maintained accurate records, including but not limited to correspondence, project work notes, and current senior living community documents, policies, and regulatory filings.
Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment, and meeting critical and ongoing deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Demonstrated strong analytical ability, particularly with regard to being able to concisely identify issues, summarize the same, and communicate complex materials into critical, salient points.
Proven self-starter who is capable of taking the initiative to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.
Ability to solve problems! with little or no supervision.
Interpreting and understanding legal documents.
