Working mostl! y bread and butter cases in the operating room.Full-time position, 40 hours per week (5 8 day hour shifts, 80 hours/pay period) with on-call as required. Successful candidate is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as an RN in the State of Iowa or a compact state.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides professional nursing care to peri-operative surgical patients using the nursing process and following established policies, procedures, and standards of care.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThrough knowledge and understanding of sterile technique and able to identify rapidly a break in sterile techniquesKnowledge of nursing theory and practice Displays flexibility, innovation and adaptation to change in order to best serve the patients needs1-2 years of Medical/Surgery experience preferred Preference given to candidates with Surgery experience.
