Description: Pella Regional Health Center is at present looking to employ Clinic Nurse-CMA (AAMA) or LPN right now, this job will be presented in Iowa. This position is primarily responsible for taking live calls from Pella Medical Clinic patients through active listening and questioning processes; documenting in real-time all patient phone encounters and providing home care instruction based o n established protocol; referring to scheduling for an appointment or referring to the primary care physicians, ED or Convenient Care for direction as appropriate. This position will also serve as Resource Nurse, back-up nursing coverage for all positions in the clinic within the scope of the professional license.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
v Graduate of an accredited program for RNs, LPNs, Certified Medical Assistants or Emergency Medical Technicians.
v Certification/Licensure in the States of Iowa .
v Previous acute or clinic experience.
v Current BCLS verification.
v Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
v High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
v Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
v Basic computer knowledge
v Technical and Critical Thinking Skills in relation to sound nursing judgment
v Knowledge of skilled nursing practices.
