Job Description

Creates a professional office image by providing superior customer service while effectively assisting the medical providers in the care and treatment of patients, and by working cooperatively with other staff members to promote a smooth flow of work within the office. Performs assigned procedures and duties within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Duties other than those listed below may be assigned.

Preferred Skills

Current Iowa nursing license. R.N.

Current BCLS certification.

Current organizational competencies in professional/clinical practice as related to office needs.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Abilities to: effectively communicate verbally and in writing; remain calm and perform effectively under stressful conditions; exercise sound judgment, critical thinking and discretion; ability to prioritize work tasks and perform multi-tasks with a time frame, work independently and with others; and to keep confidential all patient information are required.

Pleasant speaking voice and a professional appearance are essential.

Legible handwriting is essential.

Basic computer skills are preferred.
