Job Description

Organizes and implements services and supports. Establ! ishes and maintains an appropriate record keeping and reporting system. Provides direct, indirect, and consultative therapy and medical interventions. Consults with personnel and outside agencies regarding needs. Instructs, supervises, and monitors personnel in the therapeutic management of students and/or patients. Receives and records initial referral information and requests. Obtains additional or supplementary information from appropriate persons, agencies, and/or available records. Conducts screening and/or evaluations using formal and informal tests. Participates in meetings as appropriate. Documents, analyzes, and interprets data. Makes recommendations for therapy or medical intervention and refers to other services as appropriate. Coordinates services and provides information to personnel and community agencies. Provides on-going information for administrative personnel regarding disabilities, therapy and medical services, and implication of placement. Provides info! rmal and formal professional learning for all levels of educational and support personnel. Provides clinical internship opportunities for students enrolled in therapy and/or medical schools and assistance programs. Integrates current professional knowledge and skill into services and support plans. Plans and conducts training for parents, care-givers, and/or non-school personnel to facilitate the total growth in other settings. Collaborates with facility personnel to facilitate the participation therapy or medical program. Performs other duties as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include professional learning for employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
