The Hospice Care Consultant is a sales professional whose primary function is to develop early and appropriate referrals through the selection, acquisition, retention and ! growth of business partnerships with referral sources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following; however other duties may be assigned:
Develop, execute and evaluate strategic marketing plans including tactics designed to meet budgeted admission goals.
Act as a brand champion, insuring that the mission and vision of our company are understood carried out with consistency.
Learn and execute the companyâs consultative selling strategy to build sustainable relationships with targeted referral customers.
Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and guidelines, corporate identity and admissions access standards.
Maintain professional and clinical competence as required.
Participate in sales forecasting and strategic planning and analysis for assigned territory.
Take initiative to develop and maintain relationships within the admissions department as well as clinical
! personnel to assure effective communication both internally an! d externally for our referral customers.
Maintain an organized approach to territory management.
Maintain a professional personal appearance including their vehicle used for company business.
Participate in the QAPI hospice performance improvement program.
Required Skills
Required Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
Education: Bachelorâs degree in business, marketing or communications preferred, or a combination of education and experience which will ensure the requisite skills.
Experience and Skills: Two to Four Years with Successful Sales Exp, healthcare industry preferred. Comfortable with computer use
Certificates/licenses/and/or Registrations, etc..:
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and evidence of current auto liability insurance. TB test, meets new hire and State requirements for position. ! Dependable car, clean driving record, ability to work evenings and week-ends as needed. Promotes Community education and awareness of hospice services. Understands and maintains professional boundaries in relationship with the patient/family/caregiver. Displays sensitivity to issues of loss and grief. Has the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment varies but includes private homes, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and continuous care facilities. Exposed to outside weather environment due to travel.
