Job Description
The Staff Registered Nurse works under the general sup! ervision of the Director: provides nursing services to individuals, families, and special groups; communicates and confirms the plan of treatment with the physician; completes documentation according to policy and procedure; establishes and implements a goal-oriented careplan to address the identified needs involving patient, family and significant others; identifies appropriate nursing interventions and performs safe, technical nursing procedures; instructs client/family members in the principles of providing care; assumes responsibility for own professional growth and demonstrates interest in the department; follows departmental safety procedures; manages a caseload and other assignments to meet requests for service; and performs other related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is essential to this position.
Preferred Skills
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
- Must hold a valid drivers license
- Evidence of liability insura! nce coverage in the amount of $100,000 per person, $300,000 pe! r accident, and $100,000 property damage.
- BCLS Certification is required and must be obtained before the RN is independent with patient cares. The RN may start orientation with supervision in the interim.
