Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse - (Cath Lab RN)

The respected team members of this Catheterization Lab are looking for a team-playing, caring RN to join their ranks. The ideal candidate will bring experience, passion, and innovation to their position. With a care-giving model based on high-level patient outcomes, this unit seeks a well-regarded Cath Lab RN to become a member of this driven team of caregivers.
The role of the cardiac catheterization lab nurse (cath lab RN) is to administer care for heart disease and heart attack patients by obtaining visual diagnostics of the arteries of the heart, identifying blockages, assisting the physician during procedures, and monitoring the patient’s status at other times. The cath lab nurse may also help administer interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantation, and related interventional or diagnostic procedures. Cath lab RNs must be highly specialized and work to stay abreast of the! latest techniques in cardiac medicine.
Required Qual! ifications
IA or COMPACT lic
BLC, ACLS
2yrs CATH LAB exp
Experience in a level I trauma urban hospital and/or busy academic medical center is a must within last 2 years
