Reports to: Program Director / Nursing Director
Location: Women & Children, Adolescent Center- Sioux CIty,
! Shifts: Full & Part Time, Evenings & weekends (1-11pm)
General Expectations:
Support and promote the Jackson vision both on and off the job. Adhere to state and federal confidentiality requirements, to Jacksonâs policies and procedures, Jacksonâs code of conduct and ethics, and state abuse-reporting requirements. Commit to and support the12-Step model for treatment of substance abuse and addictions. Represent a positive image of Jackson at all times. Remain open to supervision and be willing to make constructive changes. Actively participate as a member of Jacksonâs teams. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Establish working relationships with patients and families. Complete admissions to program per program guidelines. Help in the development and implementation of lectures and educational programs for patients. Participate in patient staffing/treatment planning. Monitor and direct patient milieu as part of the program clinical team. Monitor and document! patient compliance with unit rules. Document each patientâs! participation in treatment activities. Communicate with physician and implement orders. Interpretation of diagnostic procedures and lab values with direction from Nursing Supv. Monitor and document patient compliance medication and doctor's orders. Insure patientâs medical needs are addressed. Transport patients as needed. Report out of the ordinary situations to the supervisor or on-call manager. Advocate for patients and families, and promote destigmatization of the disease of addiction. Maintain professional, personal, and emotional balance through continuous self-examination, supervision and feedback. Be flexible to changes in scheduling with adequate notice. Assist Nursing staff in the medical care of patients. Complete vitals on patients as needed. Administer medications. Document medical occurrences in patient record. Assist in medication documentation and organization. Insure nursing orders are followed through. Assist in scheduling and follow through of medical ! appointments. EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: LPN License Experience in the addiction/ mental health field (preferred) Good written and verbal communications skills. Good interpersonal skills. Bi-lingual skills (preferred). CONDITIONS FOR CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT: Maintain LPN License. Maintain CPI certification. Maintain CPR/ First Aid Certification. Maintain Mandatory Child Abuse/ Dependent Abuse Training. Attend required Training/In-services. Remain open to clinical supervision and opportunities for growth. Meet Jackson attendance guidelines. Valid driver'ss license and insurance required. Maintain PSO requirements. OBJECTIVE OUTCOMES OF JOB:
Productivity: Maintain high quality medical and nursing services for 100% of patients Maintain quality educational and nutritional standards for 100% of patients. Provide nursing and nutritional groups as scheduled. Provide a stable and structured unit milieu to the patients.
Documentation: Maintain ! 100% compliance with departmental standards as evidenced by chart audit! results quarterly. Nursing groups are documented as performed. Patient medical interventions and treatments are documented as they occur.
Customer Satisfaction: Patients indicate their medical needs were met when completing the customer satisfaction survey.
